Adventures in the Desert

Try an overnight stay in Jordan's most spectacular desert, Wadi Rum. The stars re never brighter than in the silent desert darkness. The colors created by sunrise or sunset over the moonscape-like mountains and canyons are beyond belief.

While there, try 4-wheel drive trips through the strange beauty of the magnificent desert scenery. For the more adventurous, there are camel caravans.

Enjoy meals in the clear desert air in a Bedouin camp.

Adventures in the Dead Sea Rift Valley

Try mountain climbing starting over 1300 feet below sea level at Wadi Mujib in the Dead Sea Rift Valley. Climb among cascading waterfalls in the beautifully colored canyon of the Mujib River from the lowest point on earth to a height of several thousand feet.

Adventures in the Red Sea at Aqaba

Thanks to the glorious weather in Aqaba, for more than 8 months a year, visitors can sail, water ski and swim. But the true adventure is diving or snorkeling to see the amazing marine life in the Red Sea.

Adventures at the Jordan Auto Track

Located just outside Madaba, the Jordan Auto Track offers would-be race care drivers a chance to test their speed, obstacle avoidance and a mud challenge.

The Royal Automobile Club of Jordan hosts two international events as well as many national competitions for those who would rather watch than drive.
